Sandcastle Competition 2026

We've received some enquiries about the annual Whitley Bay Sandcastle Competition, which the Chamber has managed for a number of years.

From 2026 onwards we have made the decision to pass control of the event back to North Tyneside Council as unfortunately the event has become too large for our small volunteer committee to take ownership of alone.

We understand that North Tyneside Council is yet to announce the 2026 date and we don't have any further information so recommend that you contact them directly via email to events@northtyneside.gov.uk.
