The death of Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the volunteer Committee at Whitley Bay Chamber of Trade and all of our members, we wish to express our sadness at the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.


Our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family as we come together as a nation and as the world to mourn the loss of our longest serving British monarch. As a constant in all of our lives, we are profoundly grateful for her extraordinary service and dedication and will be reflecting on her wonderful and historic reign.


The public are invited to record messages of condolence in books situated in various sites across North Tyneside:

  • Quadrant, The Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park - Monday – Friday 7am until 8pm

  • North Shields Customer First Centre, Northumberland Square - Monday and Friday 9am – 5.30pm, Saturday 9am – 1pm

  • Wallsend Customer First Centre, 16 The Forum -Wallsend Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm, Saturday 9am – 1pm

  • Whitley Bay Customer First Centre, York Road, Whitley Bay - Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm, Saturday 9am – 1pm

  • White Swan Centre, Citadel East, Killingworth-Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm, Saturday 9am – 1pm
